What is the Meet and Greet Airport Access Fee?

At London Heathrow and London Stansted Airport; and scheduled to go live on 1st July 2013 at London Gatwick Airport is an ‘Airport Access Fee’. This fee is a pre-agreed amount which the relevant Airport Authority charges the Meet and Greet Company every time they access the terminal forecourt and/or the pre-agreed Meet and Greet Meeting/Returning point. Thus the Meet and Greet Companies are charged this amount twice, once when collecting your vehicle and also when it’s returned. Most of our Meet and Greet suppliers include this fee in the total price, although there are some suppliers who prefer you to make cash payment to their drivers on the day. Please note that “full” details are given on the ‘More Information’ link on the website and also show on your booking confirmation. In order to make it clearer on the website we display an Icon which clearly indicates which Meet and Greet Services have this fee already included in the total price for these applicable Airports. Please note that this Meet and Greet Airport Access Fee IS ONLY applicable to Meet and Greet Services and not to any on-airport car parks, or off-airport car parks and/or any on-airport valet parking products. Can I book airport parking within 24 hours of arrival at the airport?

Our website will automatically show the results for car parks with available spaces. Visit the uk-airportparking.com home page to make your booking. Please be aware some of the meet and greet services may be unavailable.

Why should I book my airport parking in advance?

Simple – it is cost effective. The earlier you pre-book the better the price, you also have a wider choice of airport parking products to suit your requirements. Pre-booking guarantees you will have a car parking space, peak seasons can get extremely busy.

I would like to cancel my booking, how can I cancel?

Online cancellations and amendments have never been this easy! Enter your booking reference and your email address used when the booking was initially made and you can amend or cancel your booking. If you would like to cancel your booking within 48hours of arrival at the airport car park please email [email protected] You may also cancel on-line by selecting amendments and entering your booking reference and email address.

I would like to take out the 0.99 cancellation waiver, what does this cover me for?

The 0.99 cancellation waiver means that should you need to cancel your airport parking for any reason means you can do so and you will be given a full refund minus the cost of the cancellation waiver. You are able to cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your stay date.

Is it safe to book my airport parking online?

Yes it is, your payment information will be verified and is safe and secure.

How do I pay for my airport parking booking?

Payment is made securely on line, secured by Comodo. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Visa Electron, Switch and Solo

Can I amend my booking details?

You can use our online AMENDMENTS section and change the majority of your details on your booking. If unsure please contact us at [email protected]

Can I take sporting equipment, skis or extra luggage on the transfer bus?

The majority of transfer buses will be able to accomodate this. You can confirm this either by checking the i for information in the results page for a particular car park or, alternatively you can email our admin team on [email protected] and they will check with the car park directly. Please note extra large items such as surfboards are not normally allowed.

Why does the Web Site not allow me to amend a Booking On Line?

A booking cannot be amended online if the travel date is within 48 hours of trying to amend the booking. You must email  [email protected] to see if you may still amend this booking

I would like to book a car park BUT I notice it has NR - No refund?

A special rate is given by this car park – indicated by the orange NR logo, This is often the best price but is non refundable and no changes are not allowed on this booking. Please make sure you have entered the correct dates and times for this type of car park booking.

What happens if I forget my customer voucher?

Please make a note of your booking reference once you have confirmed your booking just in case you do forget your customer voucher. Our airport parking supplier will also have a record of your booking which will include your surname and vehicle information to verify your confirmation.

What are the differences between the airport parking products?

Each Car Parking product is classed as either on-airport, off-airport, meet and greet, return greet or port parking. You will find a full explanation for each of these types of parking on the Home Page. For full details of each car parking product, simply click the more information link for each product located on the results page.

What if my flight is delayed and I go over my pre-booked parking time?

You can pay for any additional parking time on your return. This will be paid direct to the car park supplier. Prices of car parks do vary depending on time of year so we are unable to supply an exact cost for any extra time.

How will I know if a car park offers any disabled facilities?

You can either check on the results page on the More Information link next to the specific parking product or alternatively email us at: [email protected]

Will there be any parking restrictions I need to know about?

Some of our car park suppliers do have height and vehicle restrictions in place. Please see under i for further information regarding a specific car park or email us on [email protected]

If I find a car park price on your website but do not confirm this booking straight away could the price change?

Yes, prices do change and some car parks change prices on a regular basis especially in peak seasons. We strongly suggest that you book at the time you receive the quote to avoid disappointment.

Why do I need to give a mobile telephone number when I book a Meet and Greet service

 It is imperative that you provide a mobile phone number for meet and greet arrangements so that the car park supplier can contact you if necessary. They may need to contact you to confirm your meeting time, meeting point, to advise you if there is a situation at the airport EG: road closed or extreme weather conditions etc. Your mobile number will only be used for this service. It will not be used to contact you for any other reason.

Is the meet and greet driver covered by his companies insurance when driving my vehicle to and from the parking area?

All the suppliers we work with have Insurance which covers their drivers/chauffeurs driving customers vehicles to and from the Airport to the Car Park/Storage.

Can I take excess luggage on the shuttle from the car park to the Airport?

The standard luggage allowance is one piece of hand luggage and one small suitcase/holdall only per person and should not exceed 70cm x 40cm x 20cm. If you are taking extra luggage on the car park shuttle such as oversized bags, bicycles, skis, surfboards or golf bags away with you, please contact our admin team on [email protected] to allow us to confirm if the shuttle will be able to accommodate the additional luggage.

HOW CAN I BOOK?

You can book securely online, using a credit or debit card. To do this, firstly fill out the quote form, then click the ‘View quotes’ button to receive a list of discounted airport parking providers. You will then be taken to a screen where the parking options are listed. Here you can review all the different types of parking available and decide which one suits you best. The options are listed as ‘On Airport’, ‘Off Airport/Park and Ride’ and ‘Meet and Greet’. Once you have decided, click on the ‘Book Now’ button next to the relevant type of parking and you will be taken to the booking screen. Fill in the online form, select confirm booking, make the payment and after your payment has been processed you will receive a confirmation instantly on-screen, then shortly after, via email. This confirmation will include the printable directions and instructions about how to get to the car park. HOW WILL I RECEIVE CONFIRMATION OFF MY BOOKING?

When you make a booking through UK Airport Parking you’ll be asked to provide an email address. This is used to send you a confirmation email containing your unique booking reference number, details of your airport parking and directions to the car park. If you book a Meet & Greet parking deal, you will also be provided with the airport parking service provider’s contact phone number.

CONFIRMATION EMAIL

Booking confirmation emails are automatically generated and sent instantly, the reason your email may have not come through is that your mail server may have blocked the email. Please check your junk/spam/trash mail folders before contacting us and requesting us to have resent the email to a different email address.

ARE THE DRIVERS FULLY INSURED TO DRIVE MY CAR?

Anyone responsible for moving your vehicle while it is parked with any of our parking providers will be covered by the appropriate insurance.

HOW DO I CHANGE OR AMEND MY BOOKING?

Please contact us and we’ll be happy to help. Please let us know as soon as possible by either email [email protected] or calling 07957. Depending on the airport parking provider and deal you’ve booked, we may be able to amend the booking free of charge provided that adequate notice is given.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY FLIGHT IS DELAYED?

Delays aren’t usually an issue. If your delay results in an extra day or days’ parking being required, you’ll be able to pay for any extra days locally at the car park’s daily rate. Please be advised if you park at a car park that is monitored remotely by camera surveillance you will probably be issued with a parking notice that you will have to deal with. Providing proof of your delay should help your case.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I RETURN BACK EARLY?

Please contact the car park provider to have your vehicle ready for your return. Refunds, however, cannot be made for unused or part stays. unfortunately unused parking time is not reimbursed

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL HIDDEN COSTS?

Some airports have certain policies in place for the use of its drop-off and pick-up areas, charging an entry/exit fee at the short stay car park and charging for the use of the set down areas. However, some operators may include this in their price. Please click the MORE DETAILS icon for full details.

DO I PAY IN FULL AT THE TIME OF BOOKING?
Yes, you will be charged the full amount when booking your airport parking online.
WILL I OBTAIN A RECEIPT FOR MY BOOKING?

Your booking confirmation will act as your receipt for parking with the credit/debit card number and price both displayed on it

WILL I HAVE TO PARK MY OWN CAR?

At most parking sites, you’ll need to park your car yourself and keep your keys. Some parking providers will park your car for you, as will all the Meet and Greet services. For more details, check the individual car parks details during your search.

WILL I HAVE TO HAND OVER MY KEYS?

You’ll need to hand in your keys at some parking providers and with all Meet and Greet services. At other airport car parks you’ll be able to keep your keys if you’re parking your car yourself. Please check the car parking details when booking.

WHY IS A WEEK CALCULATED AS 8 DAYS AND TWO WEEKS CALCULATED AS 15 DAYS?

Our parking search takes the day you are departing and the day you are returning as whole days, therefore a two-week trip would be 15 days inclusive. This is based on all car parks pricing structures.

WHERE CAN I BOOK MY PARKING AT THE LOWEST POSSIBLE COST?

Generally speaking, parking is cheaper the farther from the terminals you park, but that isn’t always the case. We recommend that you look through the offers available in the booking system. You will also find there how short or long a period you can park in the different parking areas.

CAN I BOOK PARKING AT SHORT NOTICE?
For most parking spaces, booking must be made at the latest one day prior to departure. The shortest time allowed is 2 hours before entry, provided that spaces are available.
