Glasgow Airport is home to two terminals. The main terminal is large and well equipped, spread across 3 floors. International and domestic departures are located on the first floor. Glasgow’s Terminal 2 (T2) was built in 2004 to accommodate increasing passenger demand and is linked to the main terminal building by a walkway. Most carriers operate from the main terminal except for Air Transat, Jet2.com, Ryanair, Thomas Cook (Long Haul) and Thomas Cook (short/medium haul) which all operate from T2. For full details on which carriers operate from each terminal, as well as appropriate check-in times for each airline.
Do make sure to check which terminal you require well in advance of your travel to ensure optimum peace of mind. However, should things not go to plan, there’s no need to worry, the walkway connecting the terminals will quickly get you to where you need to be.
There is currently no map available for Glasgow Airport. However, Glasgow Airport has an Airport Ambassador service. These friendly and helpful members of staff can be found throughout the airport and will be able to answer all your questions. They’re available to help so don’t hesitate to ask.

Glasgow Airport offers a number of baby-changing facilities throughout the airport, providing you with access to safe and hygienic baby changing areas. These are located:
- In the main check-in hall opposite the escalator
- In the T2 check-in hall
- To the rear of the food court on the first floor
- At gates 1-3 and 10-11
- Beside the Beardmore Bar
- Beside Tennents Bar
- Next to the British Airways lounge

Glasgow is a really family-friendly airport! There is a soft play area (unsupervised) for young children (2-6 years) located after security to take the stress out of keeping your children entertained while waiting in the departure lounge. Plus, they also have puzzle activity tables next to several seating areas located around the terminal. The soft play area is located airside on the international pier, next to WHSmith. Even better, Glasgow Airport has excellent views of its runway. After security, children (and adults alike) can enjoy plane watching, surveying the runway, taxiway and stands from both the main departure lounge and from the family-friendly restaurants.
It is now possible to take more than the standard 100ml of baby food through security, provided that this is for the sole purpose of your journey. Glasgow Airport has an Information hub located on the ground floor at domestic arrivals (opposite WHSmith). Here you can get all your questions answered, from accommodation and public transport queries to general airport information. There is also a free help phone located on the first floor by UK and Ireland departures.
Glasgow Airport has an excellent selection of shops (including Tax Free Duty Free) to satisfy the shopaholic in you. The choice is vast; from luxury brands such as Swarovski to WHSmith bookshop for picking up some holiday reading titles. Glasgow Airport also has a brilliant Shop & Collect service, meaning that you donâ€™t have to lug your shopping on your trip with you. Simply collect it when you land!
Boots has an in-store pharmacy open from 4am-9pm every day of the year, except for Christmas day. You can purchase any last-minute travel essentials in Boots, and for those with children, they also sell nappies, formula milk and wipes. Boots also run a pre-order service, especially useful for those wanting to stock up on milk or baby food after security. Food & drink
Most of the restaurants and bars located at Glasgow Airport are accommodating to families, providing high chairs and children’s menus. Frankie & Benny’s, located after security, even has activity packs for children. They also provide a 15-minute service – in case you want to be assured that you have time to sit down for food before your flight.

Glasgow’s Holiday Wing, located in the Sky Lounge is perfect for families wanting to unwind together before their flight. The Sky Lounge offers a range of snacks and drinks (from tea and coffee to beer & wine) as well as more substantial warm food such as porridge or soup. There is free internet access and WiFi, as well as a large selection of newspapers, magazines and business journals.
The Sky Lounge is open from 5am – 8.30pm. You will need to pre-book your reservation. Entry for adults (14 years +) costs £18.00, children (2 – 13 years) cost £7.00, while children under two go free.
Within the Sky Lounge there is a dedicated Business Wing to meet all of your business needs. It provides a quiet and comfortable environment where you can get on with your affairs. With Free WiFi, a selection of newspapers, magazines and business journals, as well as drinks and snacks, the Business Wing is the perfect way to get away from the departure lounge crowds. Alcoholic beverages are limited to four per person and children under 12 are not permitted access. Business attire or smart casual dress is advised. Access to the Business Wing is not pre-bookable as it is only available to invited guests from certain airlines.
Glasgow Airport has an adjacent Business Centre that offers conference rooms and meeting rooms for hire with modern and professional facilities.
Glasgow Airport offers a Dry Cleaning service that runs from Monday to Friday. Just drop off your items when you arrive at the airport and collect them on your way home. Take your items to the Luggage-Point located in the main check in hall.

Glasgow Airport offers 30 minutes free high speed wireless internet access to all passengers travelling through the terminals. This can be accessed via your laptop or handheld device. Internet access beyond 30 minutes is charged at £3.00 for 1 hour, £5.00 for 3 hours and £9.00 for 24 hours access.
