Check-in is located on the first floor immediately opposite the entrance. Information on checking-in times can usually be found on your airline ticket. Alternatively, you can consult with your airline directly.

Leisure and family facilities

Baby changing

Belfast Airport has plenty of baby changing facilities located throughout the terminal. These can be found before security in the main arrivals hall on the ground floor. After security, you will find facilities in the domestic departure lounge at gates 10-14, in the international departure lounge, and opposite the food village.


It is no problem to take your pushchair through security. However, please be ready to remove your baby for a few minutes while the pushchair is put through the screening x-ray.

Baby milk

It is now possible to take more than the standard 100ml of baby food through security, provided that this is for the sole purpose of your journey.

If you want to restock after security, Superdrug has a range of baby essentials including milk, nappies and wipes. They also run a pre-order service, meaning you can order your supplies in advance and then simply collect them from Superdrug once you have cleared security. Call Superdrug directly on 028 9447 0596 to place your order. This needs to be done at least 6 days before you travel.

A tourist information desk is located in the arrivals hall of Belfast Airport. Here you will find information on onward travel, Belfast attractions, accommodation, events and transport.


Belfast Airport has a number of retail outlets catering for your travel needs. As well as staples such as Superdrug and WHSmith, you can also enjoy browsing Aelia Duty Free for tax-free top brand goods and The Irish Quarter for last minute gifts. The Irish Quarter stocks local Irish souvenirs and artisan food produce.

Food & drink

Belfast Airport has a range of cafes and restaurants to satisfy your dining requirements. For coffee, sandwiches and light bights head to Café Bar (arrivals hall) or Caffé Ritazza (departure lounge). For pub style dining, try The Lagan Bar (departure lounge) or for hot food, head to The Strangford Grill (departures Concourse). Fed & Watered is the newest addition to Belfast Airport, offering freshly-made local meals with fantastic views of the runway.

Children’s menus are available at The Strangford Kitchen, The Lagan Bar and at Fed & Watered. There is also a branch of Burger King located in the Food Village.

All of Belfast Airport’s restaurants and food outlets have high chairs and are happy to warm baby milk.

Business facilities

Business lounge

Belfast Airport is home to a sophisticated business lounge that guarantees to whisk you away from the airport crowds and into a comfortable, peaceful and luxurious environment. Relax with freshly brewed coffee, complimentary refreshments, a range of snacks and free unlimited internet.

Access to the lounge is available to all passengers and is open from 05:30 – 21:15 daily. You will not be allowed access to the lounge in advance of two hours before the scheduled departure of your flight and last admission to the lounge is 30 minutes prior to the closure of your flight. As Belfast Lounge operates a ‘silent policy’ no flight announcements or updates are made. You should therefore be mindful of the time when enjoying the lounge facilities.

Belfast Airport’s business lounge is located after Aelia Tax Free Shopping. It is located centrally in the departure lounge, equidistant between the domestic and international boarding gates.

Children’s access is permitted, but is at the discretion of the lounge staff, and access may be denied during the busier periods of lounge use. Children under the age of 2 go free.


Getting online and staying connected

Pay as you go internet access points are located throughout the airport terminal.

Mobile broadband is provided through Spectrum Interactive and can be accessed from any area in the terminal building.

Special assistance

If you require special assistance when travelling through Belfast Airport, this should be booked directly with your airline, travel agent or tour operator. Make sure that you do this at least 48 hours before your scheduled day of departure, and specify whether you will require, or be bringing your own, mobility aid (i.e. wheelchair, scooter etc.)

Special Assistance is provided through OCS. They are able to provide appropriate mobility assistance from the point of arrival at Belfast Airport right to the seat on the aircraft. If arriving at Belfast, the service is available from the seat on the aircraft right through to the onward mode of transport.

Driving directions

Belfast Airport is easily accessible from a network of motorways (the M1 and M2). Turn off at Junction 5 if travelling along the M2 and Junction 9 if travelling along the M1.
